- Q: How long do we have to be in Barbados before we can get married?
A: You must be in Barbados during a work week to obtain your marriage license. You may obtain a license and get married on the same day.
- Q: What documentation will we require to get married in Barbados?
A: To obtain a marriage license in Barbados the Bride and the Groom must each have a valid passport. If either member of the couple has been married previously, they must also bring their divorce documentation.
- Q: Will our marriage in Barbados be legal at home?
A: Yes, your marriage will be legal at home. You will be given a Certificate of Marriage that has the seal of the Barbados Registry and the signature of the Registrar.
- Q: Will we need witnesses?
A: Yes, two witnesses will be required for your wedding ceremony. If you (bride and groom) are coming on your own, the hotel will provide witnesses for you.
- Q: What is the best time of day to get married on the beach?
A: We suggest a late afternoon wedding around 3:00pm or 4:00pm. It is much cooler at that time and you will have the opportunity to take nice sunset pictures.
- Q: What type of cake can we get for our reception?
A: The wedding cake is a sponge cake. You have a variety of flavours to choose from including vanilla, chocolate, orange or lemon, to name a few.
- Q:What type of decorations does the hotel provide for the ceremony?
A: Our beach weddings take place in front of a decorated wedding arch. The arch is decorated with palm fronds and beautiful tropical flowers that are found growing right in the hotel's gardens.
