GENERAL TERMS & CONDITIONS: Listed below are the hotel policies and procedures, please read them carefully. By reading and signing your hotel registration card at check-in or by booking a reservation on our hotel website, you are agreeing to abide by all our hotel policies and procedures and accepting responsibility for the reservation. By making a reservation hereunder and visiting Coconut Court Beach Hotel, you voluntarily agree to assume all of the foregoing risks and accept sole responsibility for any injury to your family members or yourself (including, but not limited to, personal injury, disability, and death), illness, damage, loss, claim, liability, or expense, of any kind, that you or your family may experience or incur in connection with your visit to Coconut Court Beach Hotel ("Claims"). As a result, you on behalf of yourself and your family, hereby release, covenant not to sue, discharge, and hold harmless Coconut Court Beach Hotel, its employees, agents, and representatives, of and from the Claims, including all liabilities, claims, actions, damages, costs, or expenses of any kind arising out of or relating thereto.
LOCATION: Coconut Court Beach Hotel is very close to the South Coast Boardwalk, the historic Garrison Savannah racetrack, the Barbados Museum, the George Washington House, Carlisle Bay, the capital city of Bridgetown, St. Lawrence Gap, and the Bridgetown cruise terminal. Neighbouring hotels include the Courtyard Marriott, Sugar Bay Resort, Radisson Aquatica, and the Barbados Hilton. Oistins and the Grantley Adams International Airport are both approximately 15-30 minutes’ drive respectively from the hotel. There are bus stops (in both directions) located as you exit the hotel main gates.
HOTEL OWNERSHIP: Coconut Court Beach Hotel is a private, independent, locally owned hotel and is not affiliated with any other hotel or hotel group. It has been family-owned and family-managed since 1975. At Coconut Court Beach Hotel we strive to maintain consistently high service standards within beautiful, clean, and safe surroundings.
SPECIAL NOTE: We ask that you conserve water and electricity, as both are valuable resources on our island. Our restaurants and bars offer paper straws, ecofriendly "plastic" cups and takeaway containers. We strive to be respectful of our environment and to find ways to reduce our impact on our beautiful island, Barbados and we ask our guests to please do the same.
HOW TO MAKE A RESERVATION: Please make your reservation on this website, emailing us, or by calling our reservations office at +1 (246)-427-1655. Our reservations office is open every day between the hours of 8:30am-4:30pm. We work hard to answer every call however, if we miss your call, please send us an email and someone will contact you within 24 hours. ALL INCLUSIVE PACKAGES: Coconut Court is not an all-inclusive resort but we do offer All Inclusive packages during some months of the year.
2024 All-Inclusive Package(AI)
Coconut Court Beach Hotel is thrilled to announce the reintroduction of our All-Inclusive meal and drinks package! This is an exciting update we want to share with you as we understand that dining experiences play a pivotal role in enhancing overall guest satisfaction. With this in mind, we have created our all-inclusive meal and drinks package to offer convenience and value to our guests.
To offer a full dining experience, guests booking the room and AI package will be extended a daily 10% discount voucher when dining at Jake’s Island Grille (Kindly note Jake’s Island Grille is not a part of the AI package plan option).
Terms and Conditions
- All-Inclusive package rates displayed on our hotel website are for two adults sharing the room.
- Rates include breakfast, lunch, and 2-course dinner (a la carte and buffet meal service).
- The hotel reserves the right to substitute buffet for a la carte service or vice versa.
- Menu supplements may apply.
- All house brand drinks are included by glass (alcohol from 10am).
- *Specialty coffees, bottled wine & champagne, sparkling water, premium liquors are not included.
- Children 3 years and under eat complimentary with a purchase of an adult All-Inclusive Plan.
- Children 4-12 years will be charged US$65 per child and must order from the kids’ menu at all venues where kids menus are offered.
- Extra fees apply for children and additional adults sharing the room.
- Prices are per person, per day excluding taxes (12.5%)
- Please note that service charge and gratuities are not included.
- The All-Inclusive Plan begins with dinner on the night of arrival and ends with breakfast on the day of departure. One meal per meal period, no progressive dining allowed.
- All guests sharing a room must purchase the same dining plan.
- Guests 13 years and older are considered adults and required to purchase the same plan as an adult.
- To ensure a seamless check-out experience, guests must request separate checks when dining with guests from other rooms.
- Guests are required to sign checks for each meal and drinks; the cost of plan inclusions will not appear on the guest room folio.
- The value of unused meals is non-refundable and non-transferrable.
DRESS CODE: Our dress code is comfortable and casual. At breakfast and lunch, we ask that ladies wear cover-ups and gentlemen wear short sleeves in Cocos and Jakes. Swimwear is permitted only at Captain Charlies Beach Bar. After 7.00 p.m. gentlemen are required to wear smart shorts or long trousers. On Christmas night and New Year’s Eve the dress code is Glamorous. Jackets are optional.
ROOM RATES: All rates quoted are starting rates only, per room, per night, in U.S. dollars, and are subject to availability at time of reservation. Prices may change without notice. Certain blackout dates, seasonal upgrade charges, day of arrival and length of stay restrictions may apply and may vary by arrival date. The nightly Room Rate does not include 10% VAT tax, government room levy (US$9.65 per room, per night), gratuities and/or any other hotel related service fees. Rates are for 1–2-person occupancy, with 1 child aged 12 years and under, free. Extra person fees apply for additional guests aged 13 years and older. *Please note that rates for Two Bedroom Apartments and Cottages are for one-to-four-person occupancy, including children. Under no circumstances must the maximum occupancy level be exceeded. Rates vary depending on the room category and season booked. Peak winter rates apply from 15-Decmber to 15-April and Summer rates apply for stays between 16-April to 31-October. Our Fall rates apply for stays from 01-November to 14-December. Offers are not applicable to Groups (as defined under Group Policy below), nor combinable with other special offers or promotions. Please note that there is a mandatory Christmas festive holiday supplement applied to all in-house guests on 25-December and a mandatory New Year's Eve festive holiday supplement applied to all in-house guests on 31-December. Complimentary gala dinner, drinks, and live entertainment are provided for all guests on December 25th and 31st. Please note that there are no exceptions to these festive holiday supplements. Room Reservations are not valid until confirmed by hotel confirmation number. These Terms and Conditions are subject to change at any time at the sole discretion of Coconut Court Beach Hotel.
OUR GUEST ROOMS: The images of our rooms and facilities on our website are for illustrative purposes only. Each part of Coconut Court Beach Hotel is slightly different and your room or the facilities you use during your stay may vary slightly from those images.
GUEST REQUESTS: Special requests for accessibility requirements, specific room and/or apartment locations and views cannot be guaranteed. Your reservation is for a particular type of room and, whilst we will try to accommodate specific room requests, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that you will be able to stay in a specific room during your stay.
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: Coconut Court is not equipped with an elevator and all our guest rooms are accessed by stairs only. As a result, we cannot recommend our hotel for guests that require wheelchair assistance. Please request a low or high floor at time of booking based on your physical capabilities. We do not have bathtubs in any guest rooms.
IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: The One- & Two-Bedroom Apartments and Cottages are located on the landside of the hotel complex in our Annex, directly across the street from the main hotel buildings. These apartments and cottages do not have any views of the ocean. Please refer to the full amenities listed for each room type on this website. These fully self-catering apartments are perfect for extended stays and guests staying in the Annex enjoy full use of hotel facilities including swimming pool, beach access, free pool and beach lounges, 24-hour front desk and security services. Please note that housekeeping service is provided twice weekly in the Annex Apartments. Guests staying 28 nights or more get an extra 10% OFF. Special conditions apply.
DEPOSIT POLICY: A credit card is required to confirm a reservation. A 30% deposit of the total amount of your reservation will be charged at the time of booking. . Reservations are not guaranteed without a deposit. Coconut Court Beach Hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard or American Express. Pre-authorisation on a credit card for incidentals will be required on check-in. Cocos, Jakes and Captain Charlies accepts room charge or credit card payment only, no cash.
PAYMENT POLICY: Full and final payment for a reservation is due upon arrival. Failure to provide full payment upon check-in will result in cancellation of the reservation and denial of a room assignment. All rates are in US dollars. Please note that the credit card used to make the booking and pay any deposits must be presented at the time of check-in with proof of ID (both photographic and signature). Coconut Court Beach Hotel accepts Visa, MasterCard and American Express. Please note that all local transactions are completed in Barbados dollars. Charges to international credit cards will be done at the prevailing rate of exchange.
NEED A RIDE? Please contact us with your flight details at least 24 hours in advance of arrival. Rates are based on a maximum of 4 persons, with 1 suitcase and carry-on bag per person. Extra fees may apply for early or late flight arrivals and departures, oversized items, or sporting equipment. Coconut Court Beach Hotel is located on the south coast about 10 miles from Grantley Adams International Airport. Drive time, depending on traffic varies between 15 to 30 minutes.
SEND A GIFT: To give an activity as a present to an arriving guest, or to send another type of gift to an arriving guest, such as a romantic dinner, flowers or wine, please contact our Reservations office team (email: reservations@coconut-court.com) and we will be happy to make all of the arrangements for you.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: In the case of any medical, allergic or any other important factors that may adversely impact your stay, please informt the hotel staff at the time of your reservation or upon check-in.
CHECK-IN: 4pm / CHECK-OUT: 11am: Check in is any time after 4pm. For early arrival before 4pm, it is recommended to pre-book the room one day in advance with a full charge. Check out time is 11am. We may accommodate late check-out after 11am for an additional fee, subject to room availability. Guests that require a later check-out should contact the Front Desk by 9am on the day of departure, and we will do our best to accommodate your request. A complimentary hospitality suite is available for guests requiring shower and changing facilities after check-out. If your arrival will be later than 8pm, please let us know in advance so that we can plan your welcome. At check-in, a major credit card, photo passport ID and payment in full is required. Early and late check-ins are not guaranteed. Additional charges and taxes will be applicable.
ADVANCED CHECK-IN: All guests are kindly requested to complete the Advanced Check-In form on the homepage of this website, prior to arrival. Please note that your passport number and payment method will be required to complete the check-in procedure upon arrival at the hotel. Registered guests please collect guest room key card(s) from the Front Desk also. Thank you very much for helping us to observe improved health and safety protocols.
GUEST INCIDENTAL & SECURITY DEPOSIT: Upon check-in, all guests are required to leave the equivalent of US$50 (BB$100) per night security deposit for incidental charges. There are no exceptions to this policy. The deposit may be placed in cash or with a credit card. Any unused portion of cash security deposit will be returned at time of check-out in Barbados dollars. For any security deposits made using credit card, pre-authorisation by the Hotel is required. A pre-authorisation is not a charge but a temporary hold on your credit card of a specified amount of your available credit limit. All credit cards are pre-authorised at check-in. Depending on the banking institution, this amount will be released after 5-7 business days after stay if no incidentals are posted. The Hotel cannot be held responsible for loss of use of these funds or any possible overdraft charges. Guests should contact their banking institution for full details on how these transactions operate, including pre-authorisations. Coconut Court is unable to remove any pre-authorisation directly through the hotel.
TAXES & FEES: Purchaser is responsible for all taxes, fees, and/or other government and/or airport-imposed charges. End user is responsible for all outstanding charges and fees incurred before, during, or after their stay, including but not limited to tips, gratuities, meals, beverages, alcohol, and/or transportation costs.
MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT: Children under 18 are not permitted to stay in the accommodation unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. A valid photo ID must be presented at the time of check in for age verification. Guests must be 18 years of age to consume alcohol at any of the dining and bar outlets at Coconut Court Beach Hotel.
REGISTERED GUESTS POLICY: Please note that we only allow guests who are listed on the reservation access to the room. This policy is for the safety and security of all our hotel guests. Should you wish to add any name(s), kindly inform the Front Desk in advance.
CANCELLATION POLICY: Any request to cancel a reservation cannot be considered complete until a cancellation confirmation has been received with cancellation reference number. Until then, a booking will still be considered valid and cancellation penalties may be incurred. If confirmation of the cancellation or cancellation reference number is not received within 24 hours of the initial request, please contact the reservations office without delay. Payment made via credit card will be subject to 5% credit card transaction fees per cancellation.
FESTIVE PERIOD CANCELLATION POLICY: (24-Dec to 02-Jan) Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to arrival will be subject to a 30% penalty. No-shows and early departures will result in a 100% penalty.
WINTER CANCELLATION POLICY: (03-Jan to 05-Apr) Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to arrival will be subject to a 30% penalty. No-shows and early departures will result in a 100% penalty.
SUMMER CANCELLATION POLICY: (06-Apr to 23-Dec) Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival will be subject to a 30% penalty. No-shows and early departures will result in a 100% penalty.
MINIMUM LENGTH OF STAY POLICY (consecutive nights)
Winter (03-Jan to 05-Apr) = 3 nights (One Bedroom Apartment, Ocean View Room, Superior Ocean Front Room, Deluxe Ocean Front Room)
Winter (03-Jan to 05-Apr) = 5 nights (Two Bedroom Apartment)
Summer (06-Apr to 23-Dec) = 1 night (One Bedroom Apartment, Ocean View Room, Superior Ocean Front Room, Deluxe Ocean Front Room)
Summer (06-Apr to 23-Dec) = 5 nights (Two Bedroom Apartment)
Festive (24-Dec to 02-Jan) = 5 nights (One Bedroom Apartment, Ocean View Room, Superior Ocean Front Room, Deluxe Ocean Front Room)
NO SHOW & EARLY DEPARTURE POLICIES: In the case of "no show" and no contact with the Hotel to modify or cancel a reservation, the full amount, 100% penalty will be charged including all taxes and fees. In the case of early check-outs 100% of the remaining stay will be applied.
REFUND POLICY: please allow three to four weeks, or one to two credit card statement billing cycles, for the processing of refunds. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
GROUP BOOKINGS: Reservations with 10 or more rooms, are considered a Group, unless otherwise stated. Groups are subject to entering into a Group Contract with separate terms, policies, and payment details and/or requirements as determined by the sales office. Please contact the sales office at sales@coconut-court.com for more information.
RESORT CREDIT POLICY: Resort Credit is subject to offer availability and is valid only at the hotel restaurant(s), bar(s), and the hotel gift shop. Resort Credit is not valid toward room rate (or any associated costs), room upgrades, transportation, local attraction tickets, tours, taxes, or staff gratuities. Resort Credit may not be combined with any other offer, discount, or promotion. Resort Credit cannot be applied to future/additional travel dates. Any unused portion cannot be refunded or credited to another reservation. Resort Credit is valid only during reservation travel dates and cannot be saved for future travel dates. Resort Credit is non-cumulative and is not redeemable for cash.
FOOD & BEVERAGE: Consumption of food and beverages not purchased from the hotel is limited to your guest room and the beach only. Please do not take your own food and drinks to the pool deck or to any of our food and beverage outlet areas. Thank you.
SPECIAL DIETARY REQUESTS: We are happy to arrange special meals or pass on any special dietary requirements to the Chef. To make these arrangements, please advise our Reservations Team at the time of booking.
PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT LEVY: An extra 2.5% Product Development Levy will be added to all guest checks at Cocos, Jake’s, and Captain Charlie’s. This levy is also applicable for meal packages and will be added to guest folio account. Supplements and levies are not included in room rates, meal packages or on our hotel restaurant and bar menus.
TOURISM FUND: Please note an optional donation of US$1 per day to the Tourism Fund of Barbados appears as a nightly charge on your account. This allows our guests to "give back" to the island in a direct and meaningful way. This donation is at the discretion of the guest and can be accepted or declined at check out. For more information on the tourism fund please visit the Barbados Hotel and Tourism Association (BHTA) website.
WIRELESS INTERNET: Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in all guest rooms, apartments, cottages, and throughout the hotel public areas. The Deluxe Ocean Front Rooms are equipped with Smart TVs to stream movies from personal devices. Please ask the Front Desk for login and password information. Details for the Wi-Fi will be provided to you on check-in.
GUEST HOSPITALITY ROOM: A free air-conditioned hospitality room is provided for guests that would like to shower and get ready for late flights home after check-out. Guests are provided with towels and toiletries. Guests that would like to utilize this service are asked to reserve a time slot at the Front Desk.
BEACH TOWELS: Beach towels are provided free of charge to all guests on arrival (placed in your guest room) but there is a US$3.00 exchange fee thereafter. Beach towels can be exchanged in the Coco Express shop located in the hotel lobby. *Please note that this fee may change without notice.
FESTIVE DINNERS & DANCES: On December 25th and 31st, Coconut Court Beach Hotel hosts a festive holiday gala event for all in-house guests. These events are complimentary for all guests and the evenings include a sumptuous buffet dinner, complimentary drinks, and live entertainment. Free drinks include house wine by the glass, rum punch, beer, assorted house spirits, assorted sodas, and juice. Drinks not included are bottled wine, sparkling wine, champagne, cocktails, premium liquors, and mineral water. No gratuities are included (at guest discretion). Dress code is Glamourous!
NO-SMOKING POLICY: Smoking cigarettes, e-cigarettes and vaping is only permitted in limited designated areas. Smoking is not permitted in guest rooms, on balconies and patios or in public areas such as the Cocos, Jake’s, or Captain Charlie's. Smoking of cigars and pipes are not permitted anywhere on property. This policy aligns with our environmental practices and offers a healthy environment for all our guests. Any guests found to be smoking in their guest room and/or room balcony will be charged a non-negotiable cleaning fee of US$500.
VALUABLES: We provide an electronic safe in each room for the storage of personal items and all reasonable efforts are made to provide a secure hotel environment. Nevertheless, the risk of theft, damage or loss of our guests’ personal possessions cannot be eliminated entirely. If you travel with valuables, please use the complimentary electronic safe in your guest room. Coconut Court Beach Hotel is not responsible for any lost or stolen items
ACCIDENTS: Guests must report any accident or injury they or their guests may have whilst on the hotel premises immediately to a member of management and in any event, within 24 hours of the incident. This information is needed to comply with health and safety obligations and for insurance purposes.
ACCESS TO ROOMS: To provide all our guests with an exceptionally clean and safe hotel experience, we provide regular housekeeping service. Hotel management reserves the right to enter a room with a known status of "Do Not Disturb" for reasonable purposes, such as an emergency, housekeeping, and maintenance, verify that the room, it's furnishings, and mechanical equipment are intact, or to address or prevent a violation of our hotel policy/house rules.
INAPPROPIATE BEHAVIOUR: We kindly ask that you respect our other guests and refrain from any improper, violent, or abusive behaviour and any illegal conduct always during your stay. We reserve the right to refuse check in or terminate your stay where any guest(s) is displaying anti-social behaviour including being verbally abusive and /or aggressive or damaging any hotel property.
DAMAGE/THEFT OF HOTEL PROPERTY: We kindly ask that all guests respect Coconut Court Beach Hotel rooms and facilities. If there is any damage to the room(s) during your stay or if any items are missing from your room(s) upon your departure, we reserve the right to charge the card you have used to secure your booking a reasonable fee in respect of such damage and/or missing items.
FIRE SAFETY POLICY: The hotel is fully equipped with smoke detectors, fire safety information, and emergency evacuation plans on the door of each guest room. Please review this important information.
DAMAGE/TAMPERING WITH FIRE DETECTION SYSTEMS: Coconut Court Beach Hotel reserves the right to act against any guest or visitor found to have tampered or interfered with any detection equipment throughout the hotel, including detector heads in public areas, guest rooms, break glass points and fire extinguishers. Guests or visitors found to have tampered with any fire detection or firefighting equipment will be charged with any costs incurred by the hotel due to their actions and will be evicted from the hotel. The hotel reserves the right to charge the credit card for any damages incurred to guest room(s) or the hotel property.
RIGHT TO REFUSE SERVICE: Coconut Court Beach Hotel is privately owned and operated. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason(s) that does not violate Barbados laws. Coconut Court Beach Hotel has a zero-tolerance policy in which we will refuse to admit or refuse service or accommodation in our hotel or may remove a person, without refund, who refused to abide by the reasonable standards and policies established by the owners of the operation and management of Coconut Court Beach Hotel and the by the Barbados Hotel & Tourism Association. The hotel will refuse service or evict a guest: for refusal or failure to pay for accommodations and services, is under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or acts in a disorderly fashion as to disturb the peace of other guests; is unable to properly supervise their children at all times, seeks to use the hotel for an unlawful purpose; seeks to bring into the hotel any substance that is unlawful to possess and that may be dangerous to other persons; destroys, damages, defaces or threatens harm to hotel property or guests; causes or permits persons to exceed the maximum allowable occupancy of room, refuses to abide by the reasonable standards or policies established by Coconut Court Beach Hotel for the operation and management of our hotel.
WEATHER & TRAVEL DELAYS: In the event of official airline delays or cancellations for whatever reason that might result in guest arrival a day or more later than planned, Coconut Court Beah Hotel will offer a voucher for the value of the nights rate towards an extended or future stay. In the event of an official severe weather system warning issued for the island of Barbados resulting in closed airports or cancelled flights, Coconut Court Beach Hotel will waive the cancellation penalty and provide a voucher for the value of the full deposit paid towards a future stay. All vouchers for future stays are valid for one year from the original booking date. Guests are advised to have comprehensive travel insurance in place for such unexpected circumstances.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We highly recommend that our guests take out travel insurance which will cover all elements of your holiday including cancellation fees and any activities that you may participate in. Travel insurance options for your research: World Nomads, Allianz Travel Insurance, InsureMyTrip and Travelex.
COVID-19 DISCLAIMER: The following indemnifying statement is part of all guests' reservation contract with Coconut Court Beach Hotel. I acknowledge that Covid-19 is a highly contagious disease and can result in serious illness, injury and death and I accept that there is an inherent risk of exposure to Covid-19 anywhere people are or have been present. I further agree that I will release, indemnify, and hold harmless Coconut Court Beach Hotel, affiliates, subsidiaries, insurers, representatives, against any claims and/or damages whatsoever, including legal fees relating to any infection, transmission, health condition influenced, impacted or complicated by Covid-19 disease. You understand and agree that this release includes any Claims based on the actions, omissions, or negligence of Coconut Court Beach Hotel, its employees, agents, and representatives, whether a COVID-19 infection occurs before, during, or after your visit to the property. By making a reservation and travelling to Coconut Court Beach Hotel, you voluntarily assume the risk that you and your family may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 and that such exposure or infection may result in personal injury, illness, permanent disability, or death. You further understand that the risk of becoming exposed to or infected by COVID-19 at Coconut Court Beach Hotel may result from the actions, omissions, or negligence of yourself and others, including, but not limited to, Coconut Court Beach Hotel Team Members and other guests.
